An assistant professor at Campbell University, Kymm Ballard is the Department of Exercise Science’s HPETE Coordinator, preparing tomorrow’s future HPE teachers. She is most recognized by her passion for physical education. Her work on policy and legislation, most recently with ESSA, is driven by her desire to make a difference in this profession. Prior to working at the university level, Kymm served as the ED for the SPARK programs and was the Physical Education, Athletics and Sports Medicine Consultant with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Among her most notable awards, Kymm was awarded SHAPE America’s Channing Mann National Administrator Award and the highest honor of the Society of State Health, Physical Education and Recreation, the Si McNeely award.
